Extreme Makeover: HomeEdition is coming to Indiana. On October 21st, Ty Pennington and his crew surprised the Cowan family with a shock of a lifetime. They have been chosen to receive a new home for their family. The Extreme Makeover team, along with Anderson-based Hallmark Homes and hundreds of volunteers, will begin demolishing the house on Thursday, October 22nd.
There is a long list of sponsors who have teamed up the Extreme Makeover to make the Cowan dream come true. Jackson Systems has donated a complete zone control system to T.A. Kaiser to help with the indoor comfort for the family. To view a complete list of sponsors, please visit Hallmark Extreme.
About the Cowan Family:
Andy and Heather Cowan are factory workers trying to support their four children, Ryan(16), Trevor(13), Mason(8), and Kori(12). Kori, their only daughter, is battling a congenital blood disease. Kori was diagnosed when she was only six years old with the disease that affects her immune system. She has already had 17 operations to remove the painful polyps growing in her nasal cavity and behind her eyes. Doctors have reasons to believe that the polyps are a result from environmental issues with their current home. Ryan, the Cowan's oldest son, has also been sick, therefore he has gone to live with his biological father.
The family will be vacationing in Disneyland while there new home is built. The Cowan family will return on October 27th, to a new home and a start of a new life.
The Jackson Systems team is extremely honored to be a part of this life changing event. Thank you to T.A. Kaiser for asking us to help. We wish the Cowan family luck with their new house.
